Gamification on FAME-Meta

Welcome to the Gamification section of FAME-Meta! Our goal is to make learning fun and rewarding through a point, level, and badge system. Here’s how it works:

How to Earn Points

You can earn points by completing various activities on our platform. Here’s a breakdown:

• Each login: Earn 25 points for every login.
• Unit completion: Every unit you complete gives you 25 points.
• Course completion: Complete a course and earn 150 points.
• Certificate achievement: Each certificate you achieve is worth 150 points.
• Test completion: Successfully complete a test to earn 1 point.
• Assignment completion: Every successfully completed assignment rewards you with 1 point.
• ILT (Instructor-Led Training) completion: Earn 1 point for successfully completing ILT sessions.
• Discussion participation: Each discussion topic or comment you make gives you 25 points.
• Upvoted comments: Get 10 points for every upvote your comment receives in discussions.

Earn Badges

In addition to points, you’ll earn badges as you reach key milestones. Each badge set has a unique color and design that represents the nature of the activity:

• Activity Badges: For logging in multiple times (e.g., 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 logins). Light blue, symbolizing consistency and commitment.
  
• Learning Badges: Based on the number of courses completed (e.g., 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 completed courses). Orange, representing growth and curiosity.
  
• Test Badges: For completing tests (e.g., 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 passed tests). Sky blue, symbolizing knowledge and understanding.
  
• Assignment Badges: Earned when you pass assignments (e.g., 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 passed assignments). Purple, representing creativity and effort.
  
• Perfectionism Badges: For scoring 90% or higher on tests or assignments (e.g., 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 tests or assignments with a score of 90%+). Pink, reflecting excellence and attention to detail.
  
• Survey Badges: Earned by completing surveys (e.g., 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 completed surveys). Green, symbolizing feedback and contribution to the community.
  
• Communication Badges: Earned for participating in discussions (e.g., 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 discussion topics or comments). Magenta, representing interaction and engagement.
  
• Certification Badges: For achieving certifications (e.g., 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 certifications). Lime green, representing skill mastery and achievement.
  

Levels System

As you earn points, complete courses, and earn badges, you will progress through different levels, unlocking more features and rewards as you advance. The levels are designed to motivate you to keep learning and stay active on the platform. Here are the criteria for leveling up:

• Points: Increase your level every 3000 points earned.
• Completed Courses: Increase your level every 5 completed courses.
• Badges: Increase your level every 5 badges earned.
